Our Camping Program
Who can come to Camp Penuel East?
Any child between the age of 7-11.
How do children get enrolled?
Penuel works with service agencies and churches to enroll children in their communities and neighborhoods. Each group is responsible for providing adults to live with the children during their stay. Our cabins hold ten kids and one counselor. Each cabin needs at least one adult. Each agency has enrollment forms for their camping period, and the number of spaces is limited.
How long is camp?
During the week children come in the afternoon on Monday and leave after breakfast on Friday. If we are running weekend camps a second group comes in late afternoon on Friday and leaves after lunch on Sunday.
What do the children do at camp?
Each day the children receive three regular meals and an afternoon and evening snack. We have a nature trail for hiking; we have a lake for boating, two pools for swimming, crafts, skits, puppets, singing, basketball, soccer, kickball, volleyball, foosball, and group games, singing, Bible stories, crafts and lots of play time. Evenings are special with campfires, carnival, treasure hunts, family friendly movies, and talent shows. We have 25 acres of beautiful property with two play grounds that includes tetherball and many other things to keep the kids entertained.
Where do the children sleep?
Our cabins hold ten kids. The children sleep in bunks. Each cabin has its own bathroom with a shower.
How do children travel to camp?
Buses are provided by the local organization, but once you arrive we will take care of all of your groups needs.
